PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
Well, as the 2003 show season winds down to the end, I find myself reflecting back to the seven shows we had, my accomplishment
as an as individual, the accomplishments of the membership
and participants and Clements Cutting Club as a whole. The
CCC Board had to react rather quickly to locate another facility
to hold the remainder of the show schedule at the McKay Ranch
in Elk Grove. As nice as the new indoor arena was, the footing
was not the most desirable as we were not allowed to bring
in the much needed sand to provide the necessary conditions
that we cutters demand.
The 2004 board of Directors are happy
to announce the new show season will start out at the Murieta
Equine Complex, January 4 and February 15th. After these two
shows, we will continue the remainder of the schedule as listed
at the Curtis Ranch in Wilton. Syd and James Milum are both
excited and committed in assuring optimum conditions will be
met as they are presently redoing both arenas, footing and
a new watering system for dust control. With a little membership
support and the diligence of the Curtis Ranch, it should be
a win-win situation for our club.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank
Bernie Talbot for his leadership in working with the 2003 Board
for a successful show season and ending it with a great awards
banquet and presentation held at Vince’s Italian Restorante
in Elk Grove. I wish you all a happy and safe holiday and a
Happy New Year!
See ya down the road.

to the banquet raffle. We all appreciate their continued support
to our club and the sport of cutting:
Debbie and Tom Churchill – Churchill’s
Western Shop
Stockman’s Supply – Elk Grove
Joe Hassan’s Western Store – Elk Grove
Sheldon Feed – Elk Grove
Bill and Suzan Bonnington - Lockeford
2004 Class Sponsors
3,000 Championship Buckle = Bill & Wallene Castro
3,000 Res Champion = Dave McGregor Cutiing Horses
The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity
to our supporters for the 2004 season. For $250.00, we will
provide the following advertising opportunities:
-
We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which
will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
-
We will run your business card ad in each
of our monthly newsletters.
-
We will put your ad permanently on our web
site.
In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards.
We changed our format beginning in 2001. Instead of year-end
awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes.
The members have responded enthusiastically to this change.
Our new advertising program reflects another change for the
club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher
level of visibility for our advertisers.
Thank you for your support.
