PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
To all members of Clements Cutting Club:
I am Syd Curtis, the new president of
Clements Cutting Club and I would like to welcome all you back
for the upcoming season. Our club had a very successful 2004
season under the leadership of Pete Jacoway and the previous
board. I, with the help of our current board, intend to make
this season just as good.
We are in the process of setting dates
that don’t conflict with other cutting events in the area,
getting quality cattle suppliers, improving the facility, contacting
sponsors, and doing all the other necessary tasks to make sure
our season is as good as possible.
There is some discussion of clinics, increasing
the size of our ranch horse class, after-cutting barbecues,
etc. I welcome input from anyone that feels they have an idea
to improve our club.
I feel it is also important to remember
this is a nonprofit club venue in which we can all share in
the sport of cutting and assist each other in learning. With
that in mind, I would like to thank, prior to the season even
beginning, the trainers, without whose help it would be impossible
to have the quality cutting club we all enjoy. Remember, many
of these professionals will sit in the pen all day to insure
we have good and sufficient help. They give freely of their
time and experience.
It appears our dates will stay at the
third Sunday of each month. When this is confirmed, I will
send out our schedule.
We are planning an outdoor cutting in
March if the weather permits. It is not possible to use Rancho
Murieta this year, therefore parking is a real problem if the
pastures are too wet. I will keep you posted.
If you would like to sponsor a class,
please contact me, or any board member. We always need sponsors
and certainly appreciate any contributions.
I’m looking forward to a great year of
cutting.
Sincerely;
Syd Curtis

The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity
to our supporters for the 2005 season. For $250.00, we will
provide the following advertising opportunities:
-
We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which
will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
-
We will run your business card ad in each
of our monthly newsletters.
-
We will put your ad on our web
site.
Newsletter Ad Cost
In the past,
our sponsors donated year-end awards. We changed our format
beginning in 2001. In addition to year-end
awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes.
The members have responded enthusiastically to this change.
Our new advertising program reflects another change for the
club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher
level of visibility for our advertisers.
Thank you for your support.
