Hello -
I want to thank everyone involved in the search
and capture of the two rebel cows at the last show.
Please note the change in the Futurity Practice
time. Due to the uncertain number of works in the Open classes
from show to show, the Futurity works will be held after the
Non Pro class until otherwise noticed.
IF YOU ENTER THE NON PRO CLASS, YOU MUST BE READY
TO SHOW AT 8:00 A.M. SINCE THE OPEN CLASS MOVES QUICKLY AND
THE FUTURITY PRACTICE GOES AFTER THE NON PRO,YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE
TIME TO WARM UP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

our Banquet.

will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.

of our monthly newsletters.

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards.
We changed our format beginning in 2001. Instead of year-end
awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes.
The members have responded enthusiastically to this change.
Our new advertising program reflects another change for the
club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher
level of visibility for our advertisers.

PRACTICE PEN: Practices in the show pen will be held at the
end of each set. However, it will be limited to the first 3
to sign up. YOU CAN ONLY SIGN UP AT THE SHOW. There will be
no phone reservations allowed. In addition, we will hold the
futurity practice after the OPEN class.

NCHA Rule Tidbit: The Back Fence Rule
Example:
While working, it is obvious that the cutting
horse does not turn a cow that is moving toward the back fence.
The cow does turn, however, at a spot approximately ten (10)
feet from the back fence.
RULING: NO PENALTY
While working, a cow outran the Cutter to a
place on the back fence. The cow turns within three (3) feet
of the back fence and goes back to the center of the arena.
The Cutter quits the cow legally and completes his work.
RULING: ASSESS A THREE (3) POINT PENALTY.
