PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Hello Members and Friends:

Congratulations to all of the winners at our Father’s Day Show, at the Curtis Ranch. With a few adjustments and new footing added, the show ran without a hitch. With a Father’s Day raffle and good food from the Java Express, it made for a fun and relaxing day.

Just a reminder, now that we are over half way through our show schedule, you must have shown in at least 50% of the 2004 shows to qualify for the year-end awards. Get saddled up and “come a cutting!”

It’s not too early to start considering nominations for the 2005 CCC Board members. Remember, this is your club, get active!!

Thanks once again for all the help in setting up and running the show. A special thanks to the generous sponsors who provided items for the raffle and to Debbie McGregor for a great job judging.

PRACTICE PEN: Practices in the show pen will be held at the end of each set. However, it will be limited to the first 3 to sign up. YOU CAN ONLY SIGN UP AT THE SHOW. There will be no phone reservations allowed. The practices are $30.00 and 2 1/2 minutes long.

CLASS RULES

• Rider/Horse must compete in all 3 shows to qualify for buckle
• Rider/Horse may not have won over $2,000 in cutting
• Western attire including hats required
• All NCHA rules apply with the exception of the 2 hand rule
• 2 hands may be used in this class
• No illegal equipment (NCHA rules): NCHA approved hackamore, snaffle, or bridle may be used
• Riders must be a current member of the CCC
• Three head of rerun cattle per entry
• Limited to first 20 who enter

Entry Fee: $50 ($15 to be Jackpotted)

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards. We changed our format beginning in 2001. Instead of year-end awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes. The members have responded enthusiastically to this change. Our new advertising program reflects another change for the club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher level of visibility for our advertisers.
