"The best little cutting horse club in the West." June, 2004

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Hello Members and Friends:

Congratulations to all the class winners and participants from the May show held at the Curtis Ranch. We had another great turnout with great weather, good cattle and were able to enjoy Mother’s Day with a fun raffle for all the moms. Thanks to Debbie McGregor and Chris Oswald for organizing and collecting the gifts for the raffle.

We heard a lot of good comments on the cattle as we had used a new cattle supplier for the May show. Thanks to Brad Vaughn for making the connection and setting up the cattle for the June show, as well.

James Milum and Syd Curtis had six more loads of sand brought in to correct the footing problem in both the cutting pen and the loping arenas.

Thanks to Russ Elrod for a great job of judging, as well as getting on the end of the fire hose to help with the arena. Many thanks to the crew, who works so hard to make our cuttings happen. More volunteers would be appreciated, as always. Our next show will be June 20, to be held at the Curtis Ranch in Wilton.

See you down the road,

Peter Jacoway

The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity to our supporters for the 2004 season. For $250.00, we will provide the following advertising opportunities:

    • We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
    • We will run your business card ad in each of our monthly newsletters.
    • We will put your ad on our web site.

Newsletter Ad Cost (Ad runs entire season)

    • Business Card - $10
    • ¼ Page Ad - $25
    • ½ Page Ad - $40
    • Full Page Ad - $65

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards. We changed our format beginning in 2001. Instead of year-end awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes. The members have responded enthusiastically to this change. Our new advertising program reflects another change for the club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher level of visibility for our advertisers.

    Thank you for your support.
