"The best little cutting horse club in the West." October, 2004

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Wow!! What a way to end our show season and our last show. It was another great turn out, with good cattle but the weather was less than cooperative. After a downpour, during which the dedicated cutters in the 3,000 Novice/Non Pro continued to cut, we had to cancel the last three classes of the day. Anyone who paid for the 2000 Limited, the 500 Non Pro, or the Ranch Hand Class will receive a refund on their entry fee. If you were entered in one of these classes, your entry counts towards our year end awards.

Now is your chance to make a difference for your club. Board nominations have been collected for the 2005 CCC Board. A voter form is included in this newsletter and will be available at the Awards Banquet on October 23. Please, take a moment to vote on new board members by October 23. Remember, this is your club and a chance for you to have a voice in what the club is doing.

The CCC Awards Banquet will be held on October 23 at the Lukas Steakhouse Restaurant in Clements. We are looking forward to a spectacular event, loaded with fun and surprises. We have had such a great year with our shows; we intend to end the year with a bang!

Also, please note the entry form on the Points Club Association show, to be held at Murrieta Equine Complex, November 13 and 14.

See you down the road,

Peter Jacoway

The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity to our supporters for the 2004 season. For $250.00, we will provide the following advertising opportunities:

    • We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
    • We will run your business card ad in each of our monthly newsletters.
    • We will put your ad on our web site.

Newsletter Ad Cost (Ad runs entire season)

    • Business Card - $10
    • ¼ Page Ad - $25
    • ½ Page Ad - $40
    • Full Page Ad - $65

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards. We changed our format beginning in 2001. Instead of year-end awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes. The members have responded enthusiastically to this change. Our new advertising program reflects another change for the club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher level of visibility for our advertisers.

    Thank you for your support.
