PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

We had another great show in August with 134 works. I'm glad to see so many people enjoying themselves on a warm summer day.

The race for the $1,000.00 checks are heating up with three shows left to determine the winner in each division (open, non-pro, amateur).

We are going to have a Never-Won-A-Buckle class during the Saturday show in October (buckle to be awarded to the winner at the awards banquet). We are also going to have a jackpot class for Bridle-Less cutting during the Sunday show in October. Keep these fun classes in mind for the last shows of the year.

Thanks to Debbie McGregor for a great job judging our August show, and thanks to all the other help as far as making the show run smoothly.

See you all again September 18^th.

Clements Cutting Club extends their deepest sympathy to any of our members who have family or friends who have been victims of Hurricanes Katrina or Rita. The devastation is horrific and we are lucky we were not in her path. Our website, however, was affected. Your webmaster was unable to "reach" the site to perform show result, newsletter and other updates until recently. Thank you for your patience.

CLASS SCHEDULE AND FEES:

PRACTICE PEN: Practices in the show pen will be held at the end of each set. However, it will be limited to the first 3 to sign up. YOU CAN ONLY SIGN UP AT THE SHOW. There will be no phone reservations allowed. The practices are $30.00 and 2 1/2 minutes long.

CCC reserves the right to cancel all practices if there is a substantially high amount of show entries.

The Clements Cutting Club offers a unique opportunity to our supporters for the 2005 season. For $250.00, we will provide the following advertising opportunities:

• We will make a 3' x 5' vinyl banner which will be displayed at each cutting on the inside arena walls.
• We will run your business card ad in each of our monthly newsletters.
• We will put your ad on our web site.

Ad Rates for 3 Month Period:

In the past, our sponsors donated year-end awards. We changed our format beginning in 2001. In addition to year-end awards in all classes, we have been jack-potting all classes. The members have responded enthusiastically to this change. Our new advertising program reflects another change for the club. The Board of Directors believes it offers a much higher level of visibility for our advertisers.
